Andrew J. Thrasher III, PhD.

Dr. Thrasher is a licensed clinical psychologist and combat-deployed Army veteran with over two decades of experience in both civilian and military settings. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, California, and was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army. He completed his internship and residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, GA, with rotations in Military Psychology, Health Psychology, and the Traumatic Brain Injury Evaluation and Recovery Program, and holds specialized certification in aeromedical psychological assessment. 

He served as the 3/10 Brigade Psychologist at Ft. Polk, providing behavioral health assessments, commander consultations, security clearance evaluations, and JAG support. He deployed to Afghanistan (2015-2016) with 3/10 BDE, delivering primary behavioral health coverage including battlefield circulation outside the wire and support of outlying FOBs and COPs. 

Dr. Thrasher is the founder and clinical director of Behavioral Health Clinic LLC in Bossier City, Louisiana. His forensic psychology practice includes court-appointed competency and sanity evaluations, with over 100 completed across Louisiana parishes, as well as interdiction and guardianship evaluations. He conducts hundreds of VA compensation and pension examinations annually and provides MEPS psychiatric clearance evaluations. His assessments incorporate validity-based psychological testing, including the Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI), to produce objective, defensible findings in forensic and disability contexts. He also conducts medico-legal psychiatric examinations for workers compensation and personal injury cases, providing objective, defensible opinions on diagnosis, causation, and disability.
